Great things are happening here at Soundholder. I’ve just launched the whole new redesigned website. In the past, some of the clients experienced different issues related with website stability, product downloads and such. I’m happy to say, that these days are over, and here is a complete list of changes that I was implementing for the last two months. It’s been really crazy time to handle working on projects with building new website and content, but I’ve managed to complete everything with satisfying results.

  • Completely new website design.
  • More stable digital delivery system.
  • Coupon management plugin has been implemented.
  • Newsletter subscription is now available.
  • Website is hosted on faster servers.
  • All libraries were updated with detailed metadata in Basehead Ultra.
  • Household Kitchen library is no longer available.
  • Chainsaw library was updated with new sounds.
  • Baltic Sea library was updated with new sounds.
  • Audi A4 library was updated with new sounds.
  • New Renault Master II sound library.
  • New BMW 530D sound library.

Updated sound libraries.

In addition to metadata updates, some of my libraries got bigger and heavier with new, even better quality sound effects. Of course every single person who purchased those libraries will receive a free download link, and it’s not a one time deal, all the updates are free, no matter how many sounds and how complicated the recording process will be. Also I’m working on new updates, which will be released in a few weeks.

Audi A4 B8 sound library now features additional 43 designed 96kHz/24bit BWAV files, and 52 raw files, pulled straight out of the recorder. New sounds were recorded with two DPA 4061 microphones. This better sounding engine comes with few additional foley sounds. Designed sounds are just a part of the possibility this library will give you. If you want to make your own adjustments, you can do that with raw files. This library will be updated with new external perspectives in a few weeks.

Baltic Sea sound library now features additional 37 96kHz/24bit BWAV files. New sounds were recorded with two DPA 4061, Sony PCM-M10, and two Oktava MK012 microphones. Inside this beautiful sounding library you’ll find waves crushing on the shore and rocks, recorded from different perspectives with different stereo techniques in different conditions, from subtle waves during calm days, to massive swells during storm. Sound effects were recored in MS, XY and ORTF configuration. Also this library will be updated in the future with not only new sounds, but also underwater recordings.

Chainsaw sound library now features additional 12 designed 96kHz/24bit BWAV files, and 24 raw files, pulled straight out of the recorder. New sounds were recorded with two DPA 4061 microphones, taped into the chainsaw. It sounds beefier, cleaner and more detailed than before. Also if you want to make your own adjustments, you can do that with raw files.

New sound libraries.

In addition to all the changes that has been made over the last two months, I was recording a lot of different sounds. The amount of the material I’ve gathered allowed me to create two new sound libraries.

BMW 530D sound library features 11 designed 96kHz/24bit BWAV engine files, 10 raw files, pulled straight out of the recorder, 55 servo/electronic sounds, 55 files of passbys and engine recorded outside, 13 foley sounds and 8 interior files. Engine sounds were recorded with two DPA 4061 microphones, and the rest of the files were captured with Rode NTG3, Sony PCM-M10 and two Oktava MK012 microphones. Designed sounds are just a part of the possibility this library will give you. If you want to make your own adjustments, you can do that with raw files.

Renault Master II sound library features 19 designed 96kHz/24bit BWAV engine files, 17 engine recorded inside drivers cabin, 38 raw files pulled straight out of the recorder, 21 files of passbys and engine recorded outside, and 18 foley sounds.

Future plans.

There are 3 new libraries coming really soon, and much more in progress, along with microphone comparisons, and recording equipment tests. If you want to be notified about new releases, new articles or just watch some behind the scenes photos and videos you can follow me on facebook, twitter, soundcloud or instagram. You can also subscribe to my mailing list, and I’ll notify you once every two weeks about new releases and articles.
